Alma Mary Gutierrez Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alma Mary Gutierrez of La Junta, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alma Mary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alma Mary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Whatley and Ida Archuleta; and her children, Carlos Gutierrez and Sonya Gutierrez. She is survived by: her husband Arthur E. Gutierrez of La Junta, CO; her children, Lorraine Gutierrez of La Junta, CO, Arthur Gutierrez, Jr. of La Junta, CO and Robert Gutierrez (Jeanette) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her siblings, Ruben Gonzales (Lydia), Sandra Ruybal, Kenneth Sandoval, Dave Whatley (Pricilla) and Joe Whatley. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050).
