He was predeceased by: his parents, Esmael Maestas and Doloritas Maestas; his siblings, Samuel Ben Mestas, Gilbert Maestas, Santiago Ed Maestas, Sarah Valdez and Ernestine Mondragon; and his sister-in-law Lydia Maestas.
He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Roarty; his siblings, John Maestas (Luella) of Antonito, Adelmo Maestas (Helen) of Albion, Floyd Maestas (Terrie) of Farmington, N. M., Bernal Maestas (Connie) of Alamosa and Frances Hall (Roy) of Colorado Springs, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Emily Maestas of Albion, Raymundo Valdez and Ambrosio Mondragon, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
