She was predeceased by: her parents, Herminio Mares and Teresita Mares (Joe Martinez); her son Joseph Large; and her siblings, Erna Martinez and Jose Mares.
She is survived by: her daughter Herminio Mares; her cousin Prescilla; her children, Angelia Hartman (Philip) of La Jara, CO, Sylvia Martinez (Larry) of Rio Rancho, NM, Cecilia Lucero (Jose) of Aztec, NM and Rocky Manzanares (Ruby); and her sisters, Mary Vigil of Antonito, CO and Cathy Martinez of La Jara, CO.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
