It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Mae Starkweather (Kit Carson, Colorado), who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigurd Olsen and Evelyn Olsen; her sister Marilyn Olsen-Longwell; and her granddaughters, Kelsey and Gabriella Starkweather.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Starkweather (Jerry); her children, Bob, Jim (Sandra) of Dothan Alabama, Karen Thomason (Scott) of Colorado Springs and Sandy Smith (Tim) of Centreville Virginia; her grandchildren, Crystal Ford (Matt), Jennifer Phillips (Drew), Jessica Lewis (Jeremy), Josh Starkweather (Bia), Drew Thomason (Kristen), Ryan Smith (Shannon), Michael Smith, Laura (Starkweather) and Latarya Starkweather; her great grandchildren, Kalini, Leikea Ford, Hannah, Emma Phillips, Kelemi and Liliani Lewis; and her brothers, William Olsen (Dona), Norman Olsen (Wanda) and Gary Longwell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pikes Peak Hospice.
