He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Copper, Sr. and Velma Freeland Copper; his daughter Deborah Anne Lucero Baker; and his brothers, David Copper, Phillip Copper, Lloyd Copper and Tony Copper.
He is survived by: his wife Emily A. Copper of Lawrenceburg, TN; his children, Tonya Copper Davidson of Brighton, CO, Richard L. Copper III of Fort Collins, CO, Kenneth Lucero of Lawrenceburg, TN and Kirk Lucero of Denver, CO; and his siblings, Marta Railsback of Greensboro, NC and Samuel Copper of Kiowa, CO.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
