It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Max Yocam of Kim, Colorado, born in La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Yocam and Ella Mae Yocam (Collins); his son Michael Wayne Yocam; his granddaughter Tiana Yocam; his brother Gary Yocam; his brother-in-law Ralph Banta; his niece Katherine Yocam; and his great-niece Carlye Yocam.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Yocam; his children, Mark Yocam (Monica) of Perryton, TX, Michelle Butler (Rick) of Pritchett, CO and Monty Yocam (Shelley) of Kim, CO; his granddaughter Tasha Gray (Brandon); his children, Shelby Nava, Shawni Quintana (Bernie), TyLin Williams (Randy), Chelsea Schroder (Rafe), Colton Butler (Bam), Luke Winters (Emma), Bo Winters, Caleb Yocam (Ciarra), Shandy DeBerg (Charley) and Montana Quick (Robert); his sister Madeline Banta; and his sister-in-law Jennie Yocam. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews and friends.
