He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Meier and Josephine Schreibvogel; his sister Alice Roberts; his brothers-in-law, Pete James and Gene Roberts; and his daughter Sheryl Kramer.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Dechant; his children, Johnny Meier of Greeley, CO, Alice Linnebur (Steve) of Byers, CO and Brenda Swarts (Faron) of Hudson, CO; his son-in-law Mike Kramer of Hudson, CO; and his grandchildren, Lanay Meyer (Greg), Stephanie Edwards (Shane), Stephen Linnebur (Lindsey), Jason Swarts (Jennifer), Shanna Kanmore (Jarod), Amanda Meier (Randy), Elizabeth McIntosh (Isaac) and Jordan Kramer. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
