James Ries Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ries of Keenesburg, Colorado, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on April 12, 2021 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Ries to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ries and Etta Ries (Brown); his uncle Cliff; his aunt Lydia; and his nephews, Donny and Danny.

He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Harvey; his sons, James H. Ries, Jr. (Ingrid) and Michael L. Ries (Laura); his grandchildren, Haylee Mortensen (Kale), Talara Ries, Sierra Corral (Christopher), Maesyn Ries and Alexander Ries; his great grandchildren, Paige Mortensen, Emey Mortensen, Camden Ries, Kolyns Mortensen and Arlo James; and his sister Linda Ward. He is also survived by his sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Jim's name to any of his favorite organizations: the Weld Central High School Athletic Department, Wild Animal Sanctuary, or the Southeast Weld County Fair & Rodeo.
