He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruperto Acosta and Belén Acosta; his wife Rafaila; his son Jaime; his siblings, Jose Acosta and Modesta Balli; his nephews, Lupe Velasquez, Alejandro Rodriguez and Juan Rodriguez; and his half-sisters, Ramona Mares, Francisca Escobedo and Patricia Escobedo.
He is survived by: his sons, Jose Acosta of Keenesburg and Javier (Jeana Acosta); his grandchildren, Skylar Littlefield of Portland and Kensli Constancio (Zack); his great grandchild Lyla of Lubbock, Texas; and his nieces, Julia Castillo, Olga Lopez and Dominga Poulaillon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
