He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Mikelson and Jackie Ebke; his sister Vickie Bones; and his stepfather Elmer Ebke. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mikelson of Julesburg, Colorado; his children, Cassandra (Brady Doty), Corey Mikelson (Madelyn) and Chad Mikelson (Mother Jackie Ebke); his sister Marsha (Steve Lockhart); his nephews, Matt Lockhart (Davina), Bill Lockhart (ReNae), Sean Lockhart and Rick Lockhart (Dee); his niece Lindsay Meyer (Aaron); and his granddaughters, Jacqueline, Neligh and Odette Doty.
A memorial has been established in Rick's memory for later designation.
