It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry W. Renquist of Julesburg, Colorado, born in Sidney, Nebraska, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin J. Renquist and Alene Renquist (Koenig); his nephew Troy Renquist; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Hansmeier, Chico Troelstrup and Lenora Troelstrup.
He is survived by: his wife Leona "Butch" Weinbender of Julesburg; his son Wade Renquist (Jeff) of Aurora; his siblings, Rod Renquist (Linda), Randy Renquist (Susan) and Merv Hansmeier; his sisters-in-law, Joan Shaffer and Lavonne Weinbender; and his nieces and nephews, Shawn Barnes, Tina Kizer, Trever Renquist, Ben Renquist, Shad Hansmeier, Shane Hansmeier, Ryan Renquist, Kerri Long, Matt Renquist, Nels Troelstrup, Ned Troelstrup, Nile Troelstrup and Nevin Troelstrup.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home - Julesburg (310 W 5th St, Julesburg, CO 80737). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
