She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin B. Steele and Roberta Ann Blankenship; her sisters, Roxie and Bobbie; her son-in-law Cameron Britton; and her sister Dort Buttle.
She is survived by: her children, Bridget Britton of Ovid and Vance McCormick (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Lily, Zach, Phillip, Elizabeth, Georgianna and Jojo; her siblings, Bud Steele (Linda) and Annie Kehler (Bud); her former husband Howard McCormick; her siblings-in-law, Louise McCormick and Phil McCormick; and also, Bonnie, Polly, Harry and Thelma. She is also survived by children); and many other relatives and friends.
