She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Vawser and Mildred Vawser; her husband Herman Kahler; and her siblings, Robert Vawser (Darlene), Dale Vawser (Phyllis), Richard Vawser (Elizabeth), Phyllis Pierce (Billy) and Lois Atteberry (Tom).
She is survived by: her children, Geoff Kahler (Trish), Garth Kahler (Audrey), Richard Kahler (Shawna), Caroline Kenny (Richard), Keith Kahler (Jennifer O'Neill) and Dennis Kahler (Doris). She is also survived by 20 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
