He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Maurice and Bonnie Elizabeth Batman (Erickson). He is survived by: his wife Karen LaRue Owens; his daughters, Brenda Moak (David) of Hamilton, OH and Bridgett Batman of Clearwater, FL; his granddaughters, Courtney Jae Moak of Midway, KY and Tiffany Lenae Cantu of Clearwater, FL; his siblings, Donna Hemme (Ed) of Durango, CO, Rebecca Batman-Gray of Paris, TX, Christine Mize (Ron) of Portland, OR and Kerry Lee Batman (Jaylene) of Ashland, KS; and his uncle J. D. Batman (Freda) of Medill, OK. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
