He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Lee Cotten (Drake) and Orval Cotten (Jack); his daughter Valerie Cotten; and his siblings, James Cotten and Katherine Cotten.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Cotten of Minnesota; his daughters, Ginger Redden of Hotchkiss, Roxi Cotten of Minnesota and Kodi Cotten of Arizona; and his siblings, Orval Cotten (Shirley) of Crawford, Gene Cotten (Nora) of Delta, David Cotten (Sherry) of Hotchkiss and Lois Cotten of Hotchkiss. He is also survived by three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
