He was predeceased by: his former wife Marjorie Anne Carty; his wife Peggy Hawkins Ardeuser; and his stepson Alan. He is survived by: his children, Teresa, Stephen, John Theodore, Alicia, Lyne and Steve. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
