She was predeceased by: her husband George. She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Cathleen) and Robert (Margaret); her grandchildren, Elisa, Jeffrey and Nicole; and her great grandchildren, Quinn, Alton, Ryan, Morgan, Hunter and Finley.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American cancer society in Verna's name.
