He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Bagdad; and his parents, John and Rhea. He is survived by: his great-nephew Cooper Hyland; his children, Cooper, Abby and Molly; his sister-in-law Fran Bagdad; and also, Jamie Hyland and Ryan Hyland.
In 2000, Mount Saint Vincent Home for children approached the club to start a bicycle program for the kids, and Howard joined the Golden Optimists club, as they too ran a bicycle donation program.
