He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Brothersen and Genevieve Brothersen (McGivern); his siblings, Alice Jeannine Brant and Robert Brothersen; his brother-in-law David Cline; and his great-niece Loralai Nicole Gutierrez.
He is survived by: his spouse Barbi Brothersen of Henderson, CO; his siblings, Patty Cline of Grinnell, IA, Peggy Franklin (David) of Spring, TX, Greg (Colleen) of Hockley, TX, Pepper (Karen Taylor) of Guernsey, IA, David (Debbie), Darrel (Jean) of Tipton, IA and Janelle Brothersen of Grinnell, IA; his brother-in-law Bill Brant of Spencer, IA; his children, Jeni Brothersen-Gorsh of Sigourney, IA and Christian Brothersen of Lakewood, CO; his stepson Brandon Welch of Northglenn, CO; and his grandchildren, Chase, Austin, Caden and Westin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
