As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Esther Boomgarden (Brocka); and his siblings, Jeff Boomgarden and Mari Boomgarden. He is survived by: his father Pete Boomgarden; his children, Cole Boomgarden (Diane) of Coralville, IA and Lee Salyards (Colton) of Haxtun, CO; his grandsons, Pete, Easton Salyards, Chaz and Greyson Boomgarden; and his siblings, Bob Boomgarden (Betty) of Cedar Falls, IA and RaeAnn Codner (Bill) of Allison, IA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wilder Park (22301 IA-3, Allison, IA 50602).
