He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schafer and Venice Schafer; and his grandfathers, Harvey Mathias (Esther) and Jacob Schafer (Elizabeth). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Brenda Ray (Randy), Chad Schafer (Dawn) and Bradd Schafer (Jada); his grandchildren, Ashley Van Slyke (BJ), CJ Ray (Layne), Kelsey Ray (Kyle Reed), Kenzie Ray (Jack Yarnell), Cale Schafer (Megan Patrick), Colby Schafer (Hannah Archambo), London and Bodhi Schafer; his great grandchild Lakyn; his sister Cassie Rexus (Frank); and his nephews, Matthew Rexus (Cecilia) and Daniel Rexus (Teressa).
Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Adamson Life Celebration (2000 47th Ave, Greeley, CO 80634). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1800 21st Ave, Greeley, CO 80631).
