It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Alvarez of Greeley, Colorado, who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Alvarez and Polly Scadden (Scadden); and his sisters, Rosie Maestas and Julia Sanchez. He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Ellen Carrasco and Victoria Terpening; and his godsons, Mario Carrasco, Marus Hinojos and Phillip Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033).
