She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mayes and Lavina Becker; and her siblings, Betty, Dorothy, Donna, Tommie, Robert and Sonny.

She is survived by: her husband Daniel; her daughters, Debra Brown and Tori Ann Lopez; her brother Johnnie Mayes; her nephew Wesley Mayes; and her goddaughter Kathryn Reeves. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a very large extended family.
