He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Lizarraga and Reynalda Loaiza. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lizarraga (Sanchez); his son Ernesto Lizarraga-Loaiza Jr.; his siblings, Flora Martinez (Herman), Jose Luis-Lizarraga (Coriana), Gilberto Lizarraga and Gabriel Lizarraga (Maria); and his brother-in-law Roberto Estrada-Toscano (Mariela).
