She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brasted and Gertrude Brasted; her son Dennis Hicks; and her grandson Lucas Hicks (Katelyn Coup). She is survived by: her siblings, Ivan and Dorothy; her former husband Jim Hicks; her children, Charlie Hicks, Cheryl Koelling (Wayne), Missy Smith (Paul) and Michael Zook (Sonja); her grandchildren, Jamie Minor, Jesse Hicks (Louise), Zachary Hicks (Sonia), Kate Lewis (Jeff), Chad Koelling, Chuck Koelling, Darin Martin, Zachery Smith, Brett Martin, Britney Smith, Ryan Smith, Kyle Zook, Devon Zook and Aaron Zook; her great grandchildren, Allison, Macee and Tracy; and her grandchildren, Ayden, Mason, Hailey, Lu-Mey, Kevin, Hayden, Tristan, Braelyn, Riley, Landon, Gentry, Brooks, Kayden, Alexis and Alaina. She is also survived by her children, her family and her friends.
She also started medication for Parkinson's. Unfortunately, that stuck with her until the end.
