It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Francis Virkus (Grant, Colorado), born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his grandson Dash; his son-in-law Ben; his wife Luanne Virkus; his children, Travis and Brittany MacCarthy (Ben); and his brother Gary Virkus (Marlen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to your favorite animal rescue organization in Doug's memory.
