With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Knowles Nelson in Grand Junction, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard Knowles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard Knowles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clare Nelson and Doris Knowles Nelson. He is survived by: his sister Neva Banks; his nephew Brent Banks (Candy); his niece Camille Banks; and his great-niece Kayla McCracken of Grand Junction.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Martin. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
