“I saw Jonathan two days before his death. He passed me carefree skateboarding on the CRT by Chow Down. We exchanged greetings. When he started at Safeway I was impressed that everything he did was to technical perfection and with enthusiasm, whether sweeping floors or making Cappuccinos at Starbucks. I knew this boy-turning-man was going places in life, that his trajectory would be straight up, that everyone he touched in life would be better off for knowing him. I will miss his beautiful smile”
