He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hensyel; his brother Darrel Hensyel; his grandfather Dwight Hiatt; his grandson James Kurtz; and his stepmother MaryAnn Hensyel.
He is survived by: his mother Connie Hensyel (Hiatt); his wife Carmella Russo; his children, Heather Aguayo (Eloy), Nichole Kurtz (Joseph) and Paul Hensyel; his grandchildren, Mitchell McCurdy, Emelia K. McCurdy, Taylor Kenny, Joseph Kurtz, Alexis Hensyel and Lukas Kurtz; his great grandchildren, Emelia M. McCurdy, Peyton Mazza, Ethan McCurdy and Nairobi Hensyel; and his siblings, Keith Hensyel (Cindy), Nancy Anderson (Brad) and John Hensyel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
