He is survived by: his sons, Richard, Daniel and Bruce; his sister Kay Cook (Carl); and his stepchildren, Peter Canning (Angelika) and Amy Puku (Larry).

“I am grateful to have had Earl as a friend. His volunteer work in The Vineyard inspired me to get involved as well. I just could not keep up with Earl even though he was older than me. he called me Grampa for a long time until he started slowing down. I enjoyed hearing his stories about growing up and about working in Jordan with his wife Lois, no matter how many times he told them. Rest in peace "Mr. Fizzick" . I'll be thinking of you and Lois.”
