He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Benardis and JoEva Benardis; and his former wife Tina. He is survived by: his children, Brittany Verleger (Matthew) and Brian Benardis (Loretta Benardis); his grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Verleger and Simon Alexander Verleger; his siblings, Doris Waddell (Rodney), Mary Barnes (Tim), Gus Benardis (Lynette), Robert Benardis (Maggie) and David Benardis (Charlotte); and his cousin John Matt Benardis II. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
