She was predeceased by: her parents, Luz Medina and Gerarda Medina (Ortega); the father of her children Ysabel C. Vargas; her husband Ramon Pena; her children, Victor Vargas and Thomas Vargas; and her siblings, Rita Gomez, Augustine Rivera, Mary De La Virgen, Jose Medina and Marcelo Medina.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lucille Medina of Lamar, CO, Amelia Vargas of Manter, KS and Regina I. Hernandez (Alfredo) of Garden City, KS; her grandchildren, Ysabel "Chavie" Vargas of Granada, CO, Nonie Aguirre (Johan) of Granada, CO, Gerarda Vargas (Jiovani Rueda) and Victoria Vargas; and her brother Paul Ray Medina of Granada, CO. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
