It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard D. Carkeek (Golden, Colorado), born in Adrian, Michigan, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Garnet Carkeek and Arvilla Carkeek (Clouser); his wife Kay Rogers Carkeek; his parents-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Ritter and Julie Carkeek; and his children, Matthew R. Carkeek, Dawn Ahr and Brooke Ritter (Lindsay Perry). He was also cherished by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Collier House, Lutheran Hospital. Other donations are welcome to be made to his church: Applewood Valley United Methodist Church.
