She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Shenk and Laura Shenk; her husband Harold Hjelmstad; her son Kenneth Hjelmstad; her grandchildren, Tammy Hostetler, Troy Hostetler and Natasha Cuba; and her siblings, Irene Cook, Alice Dye, Laura Ann King, Charlene Schrock, Norma Goering and JB Shenk.

She is survived by: her sister Ruth Amstutz; her children, Shirley Hostetler, Sharon Marner (Gary Marner) and Rick Hjelmstad (Denise Hjelmstad); her grandchildren, Chris Marner (Stacey), Jason Marner (Sophia) and Carmen Cuba (John Brown); and her great grandchildren, Caden Byers, Carson Byers, Natalie Marner, Olivia Marner, Henry Marner, Charlie Marner, Ella Marner, Roman Cuba Brown and Carlos Cuba Brown.
