He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Berte and Dorothy Berte (Fuhrmann); his daughter Candice Berte; his brothers, Larry and William "Bill" Berte; and his sister-in-law Sheryl Berte.
He is survived by: his wife Connie (Jensen) of Golden, CO; his son Adam Berte (Morgan) of Aurora, CO; his granddaughter Ellie Candice Berte; his brother Ron Berte of Flower Mound, TX; his sister-in-law Michelle Berte of Algona; and his nieces and nephews, Larry Berte (Rachel), Michael Berte (Jennifer), Courtney Berte (Zaccary Mann) and Dylan Berte.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to a charity or your choice, or to the Bishop Garrigan Schools.
