He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth C. Balcomb and Carrie Nell "Nellie" Simpson; his siblings, Katharine Rippy and Kenneth C. Balcomb III; and his niece Mollie Thulson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann Balcomb; his children, Rue Balcomb and Stephen "Bo" Balcomb (Janet); his stepdaughters, Jennifer Goolsby (Scott) and Jessica Chapman (Travis); his brother Mark Balcomb (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Madison, Spencer, Blake, Peyton Balcomb, Brecken, Ashlynn Guccini, Benjamin, Bodie Chapman, Jake and Luke Goolsby.
