He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hoffman and Henry Lapp Sr.; his former wife Cecilia Hoffman; and his stepchildren, Pat Stout, Jerry Hoffman, Diane Ogle, Richard Hoffman and Randy Blackman.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Blackman; his siblings, Janet Oslo and Jack Lapp; and his stepchildren, Alvin, Don, Ted Hoffman, Norma Dixon, Sheryl Hill, Lorraine Johnson, Roxanne, Ron, Rod, Rex and Roy Blackman. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
