He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezequiel Bermea and Jesusita Bermea (Morales). He is survived by: his wife Jennie Chacon of Gilcrest; his children, Michael Bermea of Lubbock, David Bermea of Loveland, Hector Bermea of Gilcrest, Cynthia Hochmiller (John) of LaSalle, CO, Anna Bermea of Colorado Springs and Kathleen Sullivan (Steve Connell) of Broomfield; his sisters, Rebecca Constancio of Friona, Texas and Aurora Ramon of Coleman, Texas; and his sister-in-law Dolores Bermea of Brownfield, Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
