It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Anita Cowan (Fruita, Colorado), who passed away on September 9, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Anita Cowan to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bierce and Alta Bierce (Daugherty); her husband James Wallace Cowan; and her son Darren Criswell. She is survived by: her sons, Jack Blackwood (Tina) of Fruita, Leo Blackwood (Jayme) of Palisade, Tony Ahlswede (Minghan) of Fruita and Rod Cowan (Sharon) of Clifton; and her sisters, Jacqueline McPherson-Atchison of Palisade and Iris Dilling of Grand Junction. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
