He was predeceased by: his wife Lois E Shields (Williams); his parents, Lloyd L Shields and Wilma P Shields (Fansher); his siblings, Lloyd O Shields, Frances Penrose, Wilma Tilbury, Susie White and Laura Keel; and his daughter-in-law Marla Shields.
He is survived by: his brother Johnny Shields of Hanford, CA; his children, Richard Shields of Fowler, CO, Diane May (Frank) and Virginia McCain (Greg) of Pueblo, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Luther Williams (Rosemary) of Pueblo, CO and Velma Jean Magee of Highlands Ranch, CO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
