He is survived by: his wife Jan; his parents, Robert "Bob" and Cheryl; his siblings, Steve, Kurt (Michelle) and Kristie (Nick); his children, Stephanie (Chase), Michael (Diana) and Joseph (Rhonda); his stepsons, Justin (Kelley) and Nicholas (Chelbye); his grandchildren, Xia, Ripley, Hudson, A'mya, Mikaela, Mya, Michael Jr. and Blakeleigh; and his nieces and nephews, Christa, Taryn, Taya and Kyle. He is also survived by three great nieces and nephews.
