She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisabeth Motter and Paul Bratke; her husband Virgil Hampton (Wald); her son Dale Hampton; and her sisters, Elisabeth Bierbaum (Hubertus) and Renate Poppe.

She is survived by: her son Donald Hampton (Tracey); her daughter-in-law Pam Hampton; her grandchildren, Jeffery Hampton (Cheryl), Ginny Hampton, Robert Hampton, Virgil Hampton (Mia) and Osha Hampton; her great grandchildren, Tanner Hampton, Kaylee Hampton, Tristin Ann Hampton and Osha Hampton; her brother Paul Bratke (Sabine); and her brother-in-law Achim Poppe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
