He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucile Coup (Jasper) and Earl Coup; and his siblings, Eleanor, Shirley, Frank "Clifton" and Ruth.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy L. Meier; his children, Kurt Coup (Diana), Lori Jameson (Keith) and Sheila Reagan (Tom); and his granddaughters, Amy, Tiffany, Haley and Heather. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
