He is survived by: his wife Debbie Dibbens; his children, David Jr. Geist (Karen), Michael Geist and Samantha Grippin (Wyatt); his grandchildren, Dylan, Travis Geist, Kyleigh, Kane, Macie Grippin and Aubrey Geist; his siblings, Harold Geist of Bailey, Steve Geist (Lori) of Douglas, WY, John "Bud" Geist (Cathy) of Fort Morgan, Barry Geist (Jamie) of Fort Morgan and Deanna Vondy (Russell) of Westminster; and his siblings-in-law, George Kenner (Erica), Dreama Smith and Janet Goff.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church (22750 US-34, Fort Morgan, CO 80701).
