Travis John Prall Obituary
Travis John Prall Travis was born in Denver, CO, on April 26, 1978, to Moerene McCarthy and John Prall. He passed away on July 25, 2023. When he was three, he got his first playmate when his sister, Shannon, was born. A short year later, his baby brother, Sean, joined the family. Shannon and Sean always looked up to Trav. They depended on him to be their leader. Often, that leader mentality got all three of them into some mischief like "accidentally missing the school bus" or taking long bike rides from their house in Lory State Park around the entire town of Fort Collins. When Travis was 22, he met his half-brother Jake. Although they were separated for years, they always shared a strong bond, and Jake idolized Travis. The childhood memories they all shared will always hold a special place in their hearts.
In 1996, Trav became a father by welcoming his first daughter, Harley Jordan (Celena), into the world. Although he was only 17 then, he devoted all he could to raising her.
In 2004, Trav welcomed his second daughter, Malerie Shae (Melissa). He loved his girls with everything he had and always wanted the very best for them.
When Trav entered a room, you knew he was there as his energy brought such a presence, and if you were lucky enough to hear his laugh, you know it was one of a kind. He loved his mother, his sister, his brothers, his children, his friends, and his wife dearly.
Travis spent most of his short life in Northern Colorado, meeting many lifelong friends. One of his many passions was as an arborist. There, he could climb, swing, and play amongst the trees – this was something he was good at and enjoyed.
Travis loved his Mama. He looked up to her more than anyone else. They had such a special bond that could never be broken. He was her first-born blue-eyed baby, who all the girls flocked to. He was beautiful.
We are comforted knowing how many lives Travis touched and how much he was truly loved. We also know that many loved ones welcomed him on the other side. We want to thank everyone who supported, sponsored, and loved Travis for who he was.
It's hard to capture everything Travis was in a few short paragraphs. To know him was to love him. He is free now.
Travis is survived by his mother, Moerene McCarthy (Joe), sister, Shannon (Ross, Allyson, Camryn & AJ), brother Sean (Tanjaret, Lincoln), brother Jake (Victoria, Koda, shayna, Abel, Acen) step-sister, Chantal (Peter); daughter, Harley (Jake, Harmony, Serenity); daughter, Malerie; step-children, Sian and Dominic (Julie) and his wife, Ashley and their two fur-babies Mr. and Loki. He was preceded in death by his father, John Prall, grandfathers Norman Jeffrey and Randy Prall, and his grandma, Jean Prall.
Donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Harbor Lights (Denver, CO), or a recovery center of your choice.
A celebration of life is planned for August 26 from 11 to 130 at the Elks Lodge—1424 E Mulberry St in Fort Collins Co.
