It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Anita Knauer (Fort Collins, Colorado), born in Lawton, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 11, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Clark Turner and Ola Ann McKee Turner. She is survived by: her husband Glenn; her children, Suzanne Rountree and Steven Knauer MD (Brenda); her grandchildren, Bryan Rountree (Heather), Aaron Knauer (Momo), Britney Miller (Brent) and Stephanie Hicks (Joshua); her great grandchildren, Hailey, Buchanan (Bucky), Jemma Miller and Chloe Knauer; her nieces and nephews, Janetta Ward Johnson, Richard Ward, Ronald Ward, Phillip Stroud, Timothy Stroud, Anita Ward Cook, Karen Stroud and Joanne Stroud Taylor; and her child Glenn.
She demonstrated ongoing love, protection and care for Glenn throughout his long journey with Alzheimer's even after she herself began her journey with the challenges of Parkinson's disease.
