He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Harlin; his children, Doug Cox, Justin Harlin, Robert McCarver and Dawn Hennessey; his sister Linda Stahl; and his grandchildren, Diandra, Kelsey, Taylor, Heaven, Lacy, Josephina, Hailee and Jackson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
