He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Charles Carlson and Natalie Norma Carlson. He is survived by: his sons, Andrew William and Peter Simon; his wife Caroline (Deutsch); and his brother Donald Carlson of Grand Junction, CO. He is also survived by four nephews and two nieces.
