We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2023, at the age of 100, Lawrence Lee Cecil Jr. (Fort Collins, Colorado) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cecil and Anise Cecil. He is survived by: his children, Lawrence (Skip) and Holly Beth; his brother-in-law Dennis Fischbach (Patrick) of Ogunquit, ME; his children, Skip Cecil (Debra Sue), Chris Cecil, Peter Cecil (Susan), Robin Cecil (Michael) and Mary Schwed; his grandchildren, Simon Cecil, Noah Cecil, Wilson Cecil, Matthew Cecil, Catherine Cecil, Daniel Cecil, Ruthie Cecil, Aaron Vaughn and Noelle Vaughn; and his great grandchildren, Natalie Vaughn, Claire Vaughn, Benjamin Vaughn, Jackson Cecil, Florence Cecil and Camilla Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's honor can be made to the Virginia Dale Community Church, 30437 U.S. Hwy 287, Virginia Dale, CO 80536, virginiadalechurch.org.

“My condolences to the family of Mr. Cecil. I would like the family to know that I, Larry Lee Grow was named after Mr. Cecil and that Lawrence and my father Marion Denver Grow went through TBM Avenger Flight Training together during WWII. My mother who is still living (but in Hospice) has often talked about Mr. Cecil and how special he was to my dad. My father, Denny Grow is standing on the far left. Lawrence Cecil is sitting, front row, 5th from the left. [email protected]”
