He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Maiwald and Helen Maiwald. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Scott Maiwald (Lida Citroen) and Suni Devitt (Andrew Devitt); his grandchildren, Brianne Snell (Cameron Snell), Clark Saltz (Grace Saltz), Beau Saltz and Margaret Devitt; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Emma Snell, Clark Jr., Nicoletta, Knox and Ezekial Saltz.
Lee's wishes were that no service be performed and, that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Western Nebraska Community College (1601 E 27th Street, Scottsbluff, NE 69361).
